QUICKDOCS BY OH, DONT WORRY ABOUT IT of DCS
===========================================

REQUIREMENTS
============
Minimum 1Mb of memory

LOADING
=======
Insert disk 1 at the kickstart screen.
After the logos and intro sequence, the main game will begin to load. After a
short while a menu will appear.

0 = Normal mode
1 = AGA mode

Press 0 for Normal mode. This can be used on ANY machine.
Press 1 for an enhanced version which can only be used on AGA
machines such as an a1200 or a 4000.

After selecting the required mode insert Disk 2 and press fire. The main game
will then continue to load. Once loaded the title page will appear.

Press fire and a menu will appear

Start
Options

Push the joystick up or down to move over the menu. Press fire to select your
choice.

If you select Options the following menu will appear;

Players ONE
Jump 1 UP
Jump 2 UP
Music ON
EXIT

Players. -Press fire to select one or two players.
Jump 1. -Player one control options. Press Fire to select;
UP=jump and FIRE=power up activator, OR
UP=power up and FIRE=jump
Jump 2. -Player Two control options as above.
EXIT -Return to previous menu



SAVE AND LOAD GAME FACILITY
===========================

Save Facility.

Press `S' or `8' to activate the save facility on the adventure map. Insert a
save disk and press fire. If this is a new disk it will ask you if you wish
to create a new game save disk. No will return you to the adventure map. Yes
will format the disk for you. Then a menu will appear;

SAVE 1 01
SAVE 2 01
SAVE 3 01
EXIT

Save 1-3 are the save slots with the number of levels foun in each. Select the
slot you wish to save the game to and press fire. "Are you sure..." will then
appear, if No is selected you will return to the Adventure Map, if Yes then
your current position in the adventure map will be saved. You can then return
to this save whenever you wish.

WARNING - DO NOT USE THE GAME DISKS FOR GAME SAVES AS THIS WILL DESTROY
THE GAME.

Load Facility.
Press `L' or `2' to active the load facility on the adventure map. Insert a
save disk and press fire. You will be asked which save game you wish to load
from this menu:

SAVE 1 01
SAVE 2 01
SAVE 3 01
EXIT


PLAYING THE GAME
================

You must guide Donk around the level to collect the gems. On each level
aliens will try to stop him. Donk must use his samurai skills to defeat them
but as not all aliens can be killed, he must be careful!

Donk has three chances before he loses a life. The top and bottom of the
screen status bars by changing colour how many more wounds he can endure
before losing a life - blue = 3, magenta = 2, red = 1.

In two player mode the bar at the top relates to Player One and the bar at the
bottom to Player Two.


EGGSTRA SPECIALS
================

Along the way Donk will find some Eggciting secrets, some friendly, some mean,
some duck-defying...

GEMS - All the gems must be collected to open the normal exit
on every level.
RESTART POINT - found within the level. Donk will return to this point
when he loses a life.
INVISIBLE PLATFORMS - when found, these will magically appear
SWITCH - switsches are used to turn switchable blocks on and off
SWITCHABLE BLOCK - Donk can pass these when these are turned off but not
when they are turned on.
PITS - these are never friendly places, not the place for a
refreshing swim!
MAP - Allows Donk to view the whole level (1 player mode only)
TELEPORT - teleport stations can be used once to swap the two
players positions. In two player mode only.
HIDDEN EXIT - These open special paths on the adventure map. Not
every level has a hidden exit.
EXIT - Normal exit that can only be opened by collecting all
the gems. Every level has a normal exit. Opens normal
paths on the Adventure Map.
DRILLABLE PLATFORMS - Donk can jump throught the weak points in platforms

When all the gems have been collected the gems total is replaced by a time
limit that stats at 90 seconds and counts down. The exit will be opened and
Donk must escape before the time runs out.


KEYS
====
P or 1 - Pause
M or 7 - return to adventure map, can only be used whilst paused.
Esc - Quits the player to the continue screen.


BONUS POINTS
============

At the end of the level, each player is given the following points:
LIVES= 100 points for each life left
GEMS= 100 points
ALIENS= 500 points
TIME= 1000 points per second remaining when Donk escaped from the
level
These are added onto the players score at the bottom of the screen.


CONTINUE
========

Donk starts with 7 lives but extra lives can be collected. Once all of his
lives have been used up you will have the chance to continue. Push the
joystick left to return to the adventure map. Donk will then be able to
continue on the same level. Push the joystick right to return to the title
page.


THE POWER UPS
=============

EGGSTRA LIFE - Donk can hardly beleive that this egg gives him an eggstra
life!!!
SHIELD - Donk can be invincible for a short time when wearing this
flashing shield.
EGGY BOMB - this gives Donk an extra bomb. When activated this destroys
all aliens except Eider Down.
EGGSHELL SHIELD - This gives Donk an Eggstra shield that can withstand 5
attacks.
JUMP - Donk can jump higher than a normal duck.
FLOAT - Its easier than flying but watch out for the aliens.
REVERSE - This automatically causes Donk's controls to reverse.
OLD TIMER - If Donk is feeling tired he can use this Egg to slow down
the opposition.
