SONIC BOOM INSTRUCTION MANUAL

LOADING INSTRUCTIONS

COMMODORE AMIGA & ATARI ST
Switch on computer and insert disc (on Amiga 1000 the 'kickstart' disc
must first be used).

COMMODORE C64 DISC
Insert disc in drive. Type LOAD"*",8,1 and press RETURN

COMMODORE C64 CASSETTE
Insert cassette in Datacorder. Hold down SHIFT and press RUN/STOP.

COMMODORE C128
Type GO64 and press RETURN. When prompted, type Y followed by RETURN.
Now follow C64 instructions.

SPECTRUM CASSETTE
If available, use TAPE LOADER. Otherwise type LOAD"" then press ENTER.
Press PLAY on tape recorder.

AMSTRAD CASSETTE
Press CTRL and the small ENTER key. Press PLAY on tape recorder.

AMSTRAD DISC
Insert disc in drive. Type RUN"DISC and press ENTER.


GAMEPLAY

Fly your aircraft over enemy cities, oceans, deserts and military
installations, avoiding tanks, S.A.M.s and aircraft. Shoot them before
they shoot you! Collect red parachutes to get extra 'wings' (friendly
aircraft which fly and shoot in formation with you) and to increase
the power of your 'supershots'. Collect yellow parachutes to get extra
supershots.


CONTROLS

AMIGA / ST
All control methods are redefinable from the start-up menu screen. The
options on this screen are:
F1 One/Two player
F2 Player One control method (both players can choose between
joystick ports 0 & 1 or keyboard)
F3 Player Two control method
F4 Music On/Off
F5 Redefine keys
F6 Start game (Amiga)
F6 50/60Hz toggle (ST)
F7 Start game (ST)
The control keys can only be changed at this screen and not in the
game. They default as:
I Left
O Right
Q Up
Z Down
Space Fire
Return Fire Supershot
P Pause/Unpause

AMSTRAD
One player only. Player can use joystick/keyboard or keyboard alone.
All keys can be defined at the start-up screen by pressing D but
default as:
Z Left
X Right
] Up
/ Down
Return Fire
Space Fire Supershot
D Redefine keys
P Pause (hitting any other key will Unpause)

SPECTRUM
One player only. Player can use Sinclair/Kempston joystick/keyboard or
keyboard alone. All keys can be redefined at the start-up screen by
pressing D but default as:
L-arrow Left
R-arrow Right
U-arrow Up
D-arrow Down
Space Fire
S Supershot
D Redefine keys
P Pause/Unpause

COMMODORE C64/128
One player only. Player uses joystick port 1 and the following keys:
Space Fire Supershot
P Pause/Unpause


LEVELS
Sonic Boom is a multi-load game so the disc/cassette must be left in
the drive/datacorder throughout the game.
