bublpong: MAME ROM Information.

History:

Bubble Pong Pong (c) 1996 Top, Ltd.

- SOURCES -

Game's ROM.

MAME Info:

0.60 [David Haywood]

Bugs:

- The OKI M6295 seems to be playing the wrong samples, however the current OKI M6295 sound ROM dump is bad. Source (ID 02361)

WIP:

- 0.141u4: Breaks some driver entanglements to simplify future driver_device conversion efforts [Atari Ace]: Several drivers are made into explicit subclasses of other drivers: Miss Bubble II from Bubble Bobble.

- 0.141u3: David Haywood, Smitdogg and The Dumping Union added clone Bubble Pong Pong.

- 23rd February 2011: Smitdogg - We picked up a Korean Bubble Bobble type game similar to Miss Bubble II called Bubble Pong Pong.

- 0.138u1: Changed description to 'Miss Bubble II'.

- 0.135u3: Fabio Priuli fixed a driver data struct issues in Miss Bubble 2.

- 0.135u2: Fabio Priuli added save state support to Miss Bubble 2.

- 0.128u4: Nicola Salmoria and David Haywood removed ROM banking kludges from Miss Bubble 2.

- 0.128u2: David Haywood removed parent clone relationship between missb2 and bublbobl. We don't usually make the 'korean hacks' as clones as they have very little to do with the original releases except for the stolen cpu code. GFX/Sound/Gameplay are completely redesigned.

- 0.78u4: Quench improved sound in Miss Bubble 2 (removed YM2203 sound and set the baddump flag for the sound1 rom).

- 0.77u3: Angelo Salese hooked up backgrounds in Miss Bubble 2.

- 2nd December 2003: Angelo Salese emulated the background graphics in Miss Bubble 2.

- 0.77u2: Improved bg gfxdecode in Miss Bubble 2, but the backgrounds still haven't been hooked up yet [David Haywood]. Fixed gfx2 rom loading.

- 0.60: David Haywood added Miss Bubble 2 (bootleg 1986). A rather odd bootleg of Bubble Bobble with level select, redesigned levels, redesigned (8bpp!) graphics and different sound hardware.

- 25th April 2002: Nicola Salmoria fixed the sprite colors in Miss Bubble 2, however the background graphics are not yet emulated.

- 24th April 2002: David Haywood sent in a driver for Miss Bubble 2, a bootleg of the original Bubble Bobble with redesigned levels and redrawn graphics, however the driver lacks correct colors and sound.
