- TRIVIA -

Cloud 9 was originally supposed to be written by Dona Bailey (the coder for "Centipede"), but she left and Paul inherited it. Originally called 'Weather War' the original game concept had a plug in the bottom of the screen that the character had to pull to let the water out. This game unfortunately only received one weekend of play testing at one location before being cancelled.

MAME Info:

0.35b12 [Mike Balfour]

WIP:

- 0.139u4: Aaron Giles changed Crystal Castles and Cloud 9 to use the x2212 instead of the hacked-up fake version they had.

- 0.135u2: Fabio Priuli added driver data structs to Cloud 9 driver.

- 0.106u13: Rewrote Cloud 9 driver to mimic the Crystal Castles driver since it is obviously an early version of the same hardware [Aaron Giles]: Implemented video RAM banking correctly based on tracing out a Firebeast PCB, which appears to be identical. Traced out color mapping and implemented correctly. Reduced EAROM down to 4 bits. Fixed dipswitch definitions. Changed M6502 CPU1 clock speed to 1250000 Hz and the 2x POKEY to 1250000 Hz, visible area to 256x232, VSync to 61.035156 Hz and coin slots to 2. Added dipswitches 'Coinage' and 'Unknown'.

- 0.79u1: Cleaned up Cloud 9 driver [Aaron Giles].

- 26th June 2002: Paul Priest fixed Cloud 9 from crashing.

- 29th November 1999: Zsolt Vasvari fixed 16bpp in Cloud 9.

- 0.35b12: Mike Balfour added Cloud 9 (prototype) (Atari 1983).

- 23rd April 1999: Mike Balfour sent in a driver for Cloud9 prototype.
