TODO:

* Dump Space Pioneer (Rock-Ola 1982). This is the same game as Pioneer Balooon but with space-themed graphics. The existing dump is bad.

WIP:

- 0.144u7: hap fixed global offset regression in Pioneer Balloon.

- 0.139u2: gamerfan, Smitdogg and The Dumping Union added clone Pioneer Balloon (Rock-Ola license). David Haywood fixed Pioneer Balloon screen is shifted left.

- 18th August 2010: Smitdogg - I got the ultra rare Rock-Ola version of Pioneer Balloon. Quickly ran into a snag, roms with rusted out legs. Hacked them into a socket. And got good reads. The PROMs were totally screwed. My programmer checks that every leg is connected before reading or it just won't read and it also gives another error if (certain) internal problems exist. So far I've gotten a good read of all the roms and one of the PROMs (99% sure). The one PROM matched the parent set but it's running with different colors than the parent set so I'm not 100% sure if the other PROM is the same as the parent's as well. All the legs rusted and fell off completely except 4 on this second PROM. I soldered wires all around it like a frigging squid and tried plugging the wires into my programmer but haven't been able to get a good read yet and may never. It might not be needed/different from the SNK set. I'll see what some other people have to say. I have some more ideas I'm going to try to tweak the squid though. Anyway here's the squid of frustration and some screen shots. You can see the colors are different and the tornado graphics are scrambled. I'm guessing this might be because this PROM is different on this set but I'm not sure yet. It could also be this version needs them hooked up differently or something.

- 0.126u4: Derrick Renaud added discrete sound to Fantasy, Nibbler and Pioneer Balloon.

- 0.122u8: Added dipswitches 'Coinage Bonus' and 'Language'.

- 17th December 2006: Mr. Do - Thanks to the loan by Vintage Arcade Superstore, we have a scan of the generic Rockola bezel, which Zorg vectored quite nicely. For now, I added in a blank red instruction card until we get the real thing. This gives us a bezel for Pioneer Balloon.

- 0.88u7: Changed M6502 CPU1 clock speed to 930000 and VSync to 61.246746 Hz.

- 0.81u5: Changed M6502 CPU1 clock speed to 1411125 Hz.

- 0.81u4: Curt Coder hooked up SN76477 sound for BOMB effect in Fantasy, Nibbler and Pioneer Balloon, correct CPU frequency from schematics, merged memory maps, cleaned up driver a bit, fixed dips and enabled debug inputs. Replaced Samples sound with SN76477.

- 0.37b7: Added Vanguard samples.

- 0.36b7: Added Custom sound.

- 0.34b4: Changed description to 'Pioneer Balloon'.

- 0.34b2: Added new color proms.

- 0.34b1: Added color proms ($0, 20 - foreground and background).

- 0.33b7: Juergen Buchmueller added Pioner Balloon (SNK 1982).

- 18th June 1996: Dumped Pioneer Balloon.
