- 20th July 2008: Guru - Route 16 (Sun Electronics) arrived. Thanks to a couple of people that donated some postage bucks, another package arrived from Japan a few days ago.

- 0.122u8: Changed description to 'Route 16 (set 1)'.

- 0.114u4: Zsolt Vasvari removed set_vh_global_attribute() and get_vh_global_attribute_changed() from the dozen or so drivers that used it. In the process, made an effort to clean up the video system for these games. The biggest improvements are Route 16, Taisen Quiz HYHOO, Tutankham and Liberator.

- 0.75: Added clone Route X (bootleg).

- 12th October 2003: David Haywood added Route X, a Route 16 bootleg.

- 0.69: MASH added clone Route 16 (set 2).

- 26th March 2000: Malcor dumped Route 16 (set 2).

- 17th March 2000: Zsolt Vasvari fixed a Route 16 crash bug.

- 0.35RC1: Zsolt Vasvari added Route 16 (Tehkan/Sun). Changed 'Route 16' to clone '(bootleg)'. Renamed (route16) to (route16b).

- 8th June 1999: Zsolt Vasvari added the original Route 16 romset.

- 0.35b10: Changed visible area to 256x256.

- 4th April 1999: Darren Olafson fixed the rotating of Route16 driver.

- 0.34b1: Added proms ($0, 100 - top and bottom bitmap), the upper 128 bytes are 0's, used by the hardware to blank the display.

- 0.33b4: Zsolt Vasvari speed up Route 16.

- 0.31: Zsolt Vasvari added Route 16 (bootleg 1981). Note: Route 16 and Stratovox use identical hardware with the following exceptions: Stratovox has a DAC for voice and a SN76477 for the player explosion and bonus ship sound effects. Route 16 has the added ability to turn off each bitplane indiviaually. This looks like an afterthought, as one of the same bits that control the palette selection is doubly utilized as the bitmap enable bit.
