Released in February 1991 in Japan.


The title of this game translates from Japanese as 'Thunder Fang - Strato Fighter'.


The 3rd level music is a cover of Emerson Lake & Palmer's 'Tarkus (Eruption)' from the 1971 album. The game song is called 'Kartus'.


Pony Canyon / Scitron released a limited-edition soundtrack album for this game (Raiga - PCCB-00063) on 21/05/1991.

- 3rd July 2003: Leon van Rooij fixed most of the blending effects in Raiga - Strato Fighter.

- 0.70u5: Improvements and fixes to Raiga-Strato Fighter [David Haywood, Guru, Leon van Rooij]. There are still some graphics problems (priority, incomplete alpha blending effects, bad tiles).

- 28th June 2003: David Haywood simulated enough of the protection in Raiga - Strato Fighter for the game to be fully playable, but it's lacking some graphics effects.

- 0.66: Added Raiga - Strato Fighter (US). Changed M68000 CPU1 clock speed to 9216000 Hz.

- 20th February 2003: Guru - Received a Strato Fighter PCB for trojaning from R. Belmont.

- 0.64: Nicola Salmoria added Raiga - Strato Fighter (Japan) (Tecmo 1991).

- 22nd January 2003: Nicola Salmoria fixed the sprites in Raiga - Strato Fighter, but it's still not playable.

- 21st January 2003: Nicola Salmoria added Raiga - Strato Fighter to the Ninja Gaiden driver but it suffers from unemulated protection and is not playable.
