History:

Youma Ninpou Chou (c) 1986 Nichibutsu.


Battle your way through a variety of landscapes shooting plenty of enemies as you go. Grab special scrolls that allow you to use a limited-time power-up weapon. Beat the end boss to move on to the next stage.

The title of this game translates from Japanese as 'Ghost Ninja Arts Scroll'.


This game is known outside Japan as "Ninja Emaki".

- 16th July 2003: Tomasz Slanina try to fix emulation of Ninja Emaki/Youma Ninpou Chou. Added little hacks to display title screens and texts ('credits'+numbers,'press start...','insert coin' etc).

- 19th August 2002: Guru dumped Youma Ninpou Chou (Game Electronics bootleg, set 2).

- 7th August 2002: Guru - Youma Ninpou Chou bootleg arrived and was bought by Randy on Ebay.

- 0.36b13: Takahiro Nogi added Ninja Emaki (US) (Nichibutsu 1986) and clone Youma Ninpou Chou (Japan).

- 25th December 1999: Nicola Salmoria merged the Ninja Emaki driver with the Galivan driver.

- 23rd December 1999: Takahiro Nogi sent in a driver for Ninja Emaki / Youma Ninpou Chou.
