INSTRUCTIONS
You have to guide a bomb to the centre of an evil alien forces
empire, which is situated at the end of a huge highway, using a
Vorton dalek-type thingy to push it to the end. At the same time,
loads of aliens will try to kill you, as well as prevent any
furthur progress of the bomb. Although it is flip-screen, the
aliens can move inbetween screens, and thus the highway really
is
a big whole rather than seperated into distinct screens.

RELATED GAMES
The prequel, Highway Encounter, was more popular and much
easier, as well as being slightly different in gameplay (see
the text for that game for details). Also, Revolution from
the same company is isometric 3D, although it is a=20
completely different game.

ORIGINAL INLAY CARD TEXT
History recalls the epic 'Highway Encounter.' The attempted
domination of Earth by the dreaded Alien aggressor was foiled
by the power of the Vortons.

Your mission is to strike at the industrial heart of the
Alien Empire, before they remass with even greater force. =20
As controller of the Vorton you must manoeuvre the Terratron
to the end of the 'Alien Highway.' It is vital the Terratron be
energized en route by contact with seven regeneration stations.
Only by achieving this can you proceed through the barrier
guarding the Industrial Complex.

There, the Terratron will reveal it's awesome power.

FACTS

NOTES
Last thing I heard (and I know this is backed up by the
Spectrum FAQ) Mark Haigh-Hutchinson was working for
Lucas-Arts (The CITV show Bad Influence showed a cheat for
one of their games that let you see little cartoon characters
of the people involved, and Mark was one of them). From
small acorns, eh?
