| The Black Cauldron is the video game adaptation of the unfamous eponym Disney movie from 1985. You play Taran, apprentice pig keeper who has to prevent the malicious Horned King to obtain the black cauldron and create his undead army. The gameplay is similar to the other Sierra games from this period (Space Quest II or King's Quest III): it's an adventure game – point & click where you control the main character to walk, run, swim, talk to other characters… The interface is quite simple and the game not very difficult which makes it quite approachable. One of the game subtlety is that you can play it to follow the original story but being more creative will bring you more points and an alternate ending (up to 6). |
