Yatzy is an adaptation of the Yahtzee board game for up to 5 players.

Yahtzee is played in turns. Each player takes turns rolling the 5 dice to obtain a combination of dice that allows them to score points. Players are allowed 3 rolls per turn. After each roll, they can choose to set aside some dice and re-roll the rest.

After a maximum of 3 rolls, players must choose between scoring a combination whose conditions are met or crossing out a combination. Scoring a combination allows them to record the score on the corresponding line and thus obtain the corresponding points. If they have no combination of dice or if they cannot score a combination, they must cross out a combination and record 0 on the line of their choice: They will not be able to score points for that element in the game.

Since one row is filled per turn (checked or crossed out), a game of Yahtzee is played over 13 rounds: 6 rounds for the minor game, followed by 7 for the major game.
