"Calephar" is an unreleased 2D space shooter that was supposed to be developed by Claude Verstraten for the Commodore Amiga in 1994. Players take on the role of a spaceship pilot fighting their way through dangerous levels filled with enemy spaceships and asteroids. Gameplay involves multiple missions in varied environments where players shoot down enemy ships and earn points to improve their skills. Power-ups increase the spaceship's firepower, speed and defense. Controls are precise and allow for quick navigation through the levels. The graphics make good use of the Amiga hardware, with detailed sprites and vibrant backgrounds that intensify the action. Although "Calephar" remains unreleased, it showcases thoughtful level design and exciting gameplay. A working version was discovered in 2007, allowing fans to experience this piece of Amiga history.
