| Creepy Crawlies is a solid unofficial Amiga port of Centipede that proves to be an endurance test. The gameplay remains the same and there is no final level, making the game tiring after a while. The player controls a small ship at the bottom of the screen, shooting arrows at a segmented centipede that advances from the top of the screen through a field of mushrooms. Each segment becomes the mushroom when hit. If a middle segment is hit, the centipede splits in two. The head, when destroyed, causes the segment behind it to become the next head. The centipede moves left or right, and sinks when it touches a mushroom or reaches the edge of the screen. Players can destroy mushrooms for points, but require four shots to do so. Later levels add pieces of fruit and enemies that place additional mushrooms, making the game more challenging. |
