| “Fatal Heritage” does what the title promises: the protagonist inherits a farm with a large treasure. Unfortunately, the farm is far away, and the local crime syndicate is also interested in the treasure. The game takes place in various locations around the world and is played from a first-person perspective with static screens that are explored with the mouse cursor. Interaction takes place via a traditional graphic adventure system: first, the action is chosen via an icon bar, then the player clicks on an object in the game world. There are also multiple-choice conversations and companions with special abilities. The inventory is limited to 15 objects, and picking up a new one requires removing an old one. A time limit shows how close the syndicate killer is. When time runs out, the player must leave the current location or the game ends violently. To earn money, there are card and dice mini-games. |
