| In a world called Boran, the evil wizard Kronos decides to put an end to the rule of King Aaron. However, Aaron is protected by the white wizard Gandalf, who wages a terrible battle of magic against Kronos. At the end of the battle, both wizards are killed and Gandalf's staff is broken in two. Now Kronos' evil helper Hellowoon sees his chance to take control of the land. He establishes a reign of terror, but he is still missing something: Zarrak, the son of Aaron. The player takes on Zarrak's role and the game begins with Zarrak waking up in a prison cell, chained to the wall. Hellowoon is a text adventure, so all actions are controlled by words entered into the parser. However, each room has its own graphical representation at the top of the screen. Over the course of the game, the player can learn a total of three spells that can be used to defend themselves against enemies. |
