International Soccer Challenge is a 3D football game and sequel to Microprose Soccer, played from a behind-the-ball perspective. Shooting and passing involve power control, with auto-aiming on the easiest setting. Players can compete in a Superleague or World Cup, with practice modes for passing, penalties, and goalkeeping. However, the 3D view feels slow and jerky, and the lack of a two-player mode is disappointing. Dribbling is simplified with a glued-ball mechanic, but tackling is tricky, and scoring is too easy with a diagonal shot exploit. An ambitious but flawed football sim.
