“Die Kathedrale” is an interactive German text adventure with graphics. It is the second of three text adventures by developer Weltenschmiede and confronts you with a centuries-old, dangerous mystery in a majestic cathedral. Unfortunately, you are locked inside the fictional Cathedral of St. Peter, an impressive architectural masterpiece with a dark history of inquisition and secrets. According to ancient documents, you have only three days to find and disarm 15 devilish mechanisms hidden by the medieval architect Victor Paz throughout the building. The parchments provide vague clues for each puzzle, while many other secrets are concealed within the church. Your companions, Dani, the butler Jasper, and the medieval monk Daniel, assist you on your journey. You can command them to help solve puzzles and carry equipment.
