Pipeline may seem like a clone of Pipe Mania (known as Pipe Dream in the US), but it was a pre-release version sent to Empire. Gameplay is simple: once the countdown reaches zero, sludge flows out of a starting pipe, and the player must construct a path through pipes to make the sludge flow through a certain number of pipes. Later levels add unidirectional pipes, obstacles, and mandatory end pipes. Pipeline features 36 levels that end in a loop. Pipe Mania tweaked the concept by allowing pipes to be laid after the sludge has started, and by simplifying pipe queues, among other things.
