Soldier 2000 is an action game developed and published by Artronic Productions, released in Europe in 1990. Set in a dystopian future, the story revolves around a hostage crisis caused by unknown factions. You control an elite anti-terrorist squad composed of tough, skilled female operatives. Although they are formidable, they can't carry excessive weight; overloaded characters will slow down and struggle to move. Players can choose from 14 weapon options, including handguns, machine guns, grenade launchers, and experimental pulse lasers, as well as essential gear like infrared sights. As you equip your troops, the selected items appear on the left side of the screen. The game begins with a 2D view of the player in a corridor, facing potential attacks from both sides. Players can collect ammo, bullets, and grenades while strategically dropping proximity mines to manage threats.
