| Whale's Voyage II is the sequel to Whale's Voyage. Set twenty years after the crew of the spaceship Whale became heroes by defeating a dictatorship, they now face financial ruin and must return to trading. Their first job is a simple delivery of nuclear material, but delays turn it into a deadly mission, involving them in a conspiracy. The game is a role-playing game with trading elements, allowing players to create four characters with customizable attributes, flaws, and educational backgrounds that determine their classes. Players can upgrade their ship and trade while orbiting planets, each offering specific goods. Exploration features real 3D graphics, and travel is automatic, though ambushes may occur, leading to turn-based ship combat. Ground battles are real-time, and players earn experience points through defeating enemies and completing quests, with references to the first game enriching the narrative. |
