Dick Tracy is an adaptation of the film of the same name. The game is very similar to Robocop, the game from the Data East arcade. You move forward with your gun in hand while gangsters shoot at you from the street or from the windows of buildings. You can fight with your fists, a pistol or a machine gun. Dick Tracy has no scrolling, so it could be converted to the PC without too much trouble. The graphics reproduce the very vivid tones of the film well, but are a little too orangey yellow. The game is difficult, probably too much so: enemies appear endlessly, without any time to breathe, and it is difficult to advance without being hit by their shots. |
