Super Samtong is an action role-playing game starring the titular character, an ex-Mirinae mascot who became the property of Sailon after it split off the mother company. The yellow round creature finds himself in the unusual role of a mighty hero: an evil overlord has kidnapped the princess of a fantasy country, and she sends a distress signal to the real world. Samtong receives the signal, jumps to an alternate dimension, and embarks on a quest to rescue the princess.
The game has two main perspective - overhead and side-scrolling. The overhead areas are populated by friendly characters and require Samtong to procure items necessary to enter the next area, as well as purchase equipment. The action takes place in side-scrolling dungeons populated by enemies. Samtong engages them in fairly simple action-oriented combat, receiving gold and experience for his victories. |
