Futbol Argentino 96 is an unlicensed hack of J. League Pro Striker 2, which was distributed in Argentina during the late 1990s. Futbol Argentino 96 is almost the same game as Pro Striker 2, but contains teams from the Argentine Football Association (AFA), presumably without a license to do so. This made it (and similar SNES hacks) unusually popular in the country. Futbol Argentino 96, was intended for players from Argentina. That year, Argentina had the best footballers in the country, Maradona, Francescoli, Batistuta, Cannigia and others, included in this game. So it was very successful on 16-bit consoles. A trick that this game brings in the selection screen command, hold A + B + C and it leads to penalty shots. A successor to the classes exists as Futbol Argentino 98.
