| Water Margin: A Tale of Clouds and Wind, also known as Shui Hu Feng Yun Zhuan, is a beat 'em up game for the Sega Mega Drive developed by Never Ending Soft Team. It was initially released in 1996 by Kin Tec and re-released in 1999. There is also an arcade version that was released in 1999 by Wah Lap. The game is entirely in Chinese and features modified sprites from other beat 'em up games such as Knights of the Round, Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage. A full English translation of the game was released by Piko Interactive in 2015 and re-released on Steam in 2019 and licensed for the Evercade gaming system in 2020. It uses the High Seas Havoc sound engine and features music from other Mega Drive bootleg games such as The King of Fighters '99 and Mulan. The boss theme also appears in MK5 - Mortal Combat - Sub Zero. |
