A slot machine, informally fruit machine, the slots, poker machine or simply slot, is a casino gambling machine with three or more reels which spin when a button is pushed. Slot machines are also known as one-armed bandits because they were originally operated by a lever on the side of the machine (the arm) instead of a button on the front panel, and because of their ability to leave the gamer penniless (bandit). Many modern machines still have a legacy lever in addition to the button.
Japanese slot machines, known as pachisuro or pachislo (portmanteaus of the words "pachinko" and "slot machine"), are a descendant of the traditional Japanese pachinko game. Slot machines are a fairly new phenomenon and they can be found in mostly in pachinko parlors and the adult sections of amusement arcades, known as game centers.
Fist of the North Star (Hokuto no Ken) is a Japanese manga series written by Buronson and drawn by Tetsuo Hara that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1983 to 1988, spanning 245 chapters, which were initially collected in a 27-volume tankobon edition by Shueisha. Set in a post-apocalyptic world that has been destroyed by a nuclear war, the story centers around a warrior named Kenshiro, the successor of a deadly martial art style known as Hokuto Shinken, which gives him the ability to kill most adversaries from within through the use of the human body's secret vital points, often resulting in an exceptionally violent and gory death. Kenshiro dedicates his life to fighting against the various ravagers who threaten the lives of the weak and innocent, as well as rival martial artists, including his own "brothers" from the same clan.
Jissen Pachi-Slot Hisshouhou! Hokuto no Ken is a pachinko simulation machine that features 4 different pachinko machines based on the Hokuto no Ken manga with different levels of zoom.
Join the words "Pachinko" and "Slot" together and one somehow arrives at Pachisuro, a game of skill and chance that has captured the hearts of wages of countless Japanese and Korean citizens. Unlike standard slot machines which are pure games of chance, Pachisuro machines have patterns which may be discerned by skilled and watchful players.
Sammy's virtual Pachisuro machine features heroes and heroines licensed from the Hokuto no Ken franchise and spot animations of the characters are featured on a rectangular screen above the spinning slots. The motif, colors and marquee of the pachisuro machine may be changed into four types featuring major heroes from Hokuto no Ken.
