| In this eighth instalment of the King of Fighters series, ten different teams once again compete across several countries to determine who will be this year's King of Fighters. However, the NESTS organisation is once again getting in the way of the participants, deploying its own team of four fighters, led by two high-ranking individuals within NESTS: a man claiming to be the original Zero and Igniz, the CEO of NESTS. The character roster has been further updated for this new version of the series. |
