Toya Kumono and his friends Seishiro and Kasumi are fairly average high school students living a normal life, until one day they are suddenly attacked by strange men, and a young woman named Riko appears to assist them. Riko was an assistant to Kasumi's father, a scientist researching technology to harness supernatural abilities called Augments and Opuses.
Devicereign is a Japanese-style adventure game with tactical RPG-style battles. The bulk of the story proceeds in a visual-novel style, with the player visiting various locations to trigger events and interact with different characters.
Occasionally, battle sequences reminiscent of Tactics Ogre will occur, with the player controlling Toya and his companions in turn-based isometric combat. |
