mtrap: MAME ROM Information.


History:

Mousetrap (c) 1981 Exidy.


Control a mouse around the maze to collect cheese while avoiding cats. Collecting a bone will turn you into a dog in which you can eat the cats. Collect all the cheese to clear the maze. But beware of the hawk who flies over periodically, the mouse and the dog are vulnerable to it. You can also press certain coloured buttons to alter the maze.

- 31st July 1999: Dan Boris added sound to Mouse Trap, but it doesn't work right.

- 0.35b13: Eric Hustvedt added clones Mouse Trap (version 3) and (version 4). Changed parent description to 'Mouse Trap (version 5)'.

- 2nd May 1999: Valerio Verrando updated the Mouse Trap driver with two clones added.

- 2nd March 1999: Eric Hustvedt has added another Mouse Trap clone.

- 28th February 1999: Eric Hustvedt added another Mouse Trap clone.

- 0.35b2: Added Samples and Custom sound.

- 0.31: Mike Balfour added accurate colors to Mouse Trap.

- 0.28: Mike Balfour did some fixes to the Exidy games (Venture, Mouse Trap, Pepper II). Collision detection is now supported, Venture is playable.

- 0.18: Marc Lafontaine added Mouse Trap (Exidy 1981) to the Venture driver. Runs on the same hardware as Venture. Collision detection doesn't work - in Mouse Trap, you can use keys 7 and 8 to simulate a sprite-to-character and a sprite-to-sprite collision. Game is partially playable with wrong colors and no sound. Control: Arrows = Move around, CTRL = Fire and 3+F3 = Test mode.
