Space Attack [Upright model] (c) 1979 Sega.


Another game inspired by "Space Invaders". This one is a more straightforward version, although after you finish off a rack a UFO starts working its way down; shoot it and you'll get a bonus (and maybe a free ship).

- 24th June 2007: Mr. Do - A LONG time ago, Yaggy sent me pics of the backdrop for Sega Space Attack. I never implemented it because the backdrop is for the B&W version of the game, but the MAME version is in color. Well, it seems the game has an option in the UI menu called "Driver Configuration." Go in there, and change the monitor to B&W, and there you have it. Also added in the overlay, based on the same pics from Yaggy.

- 0.113u3: Added user1 proms ($0, 20 - timing).

- 0.87u2: MASH added clone Space Attack (upright set 3). Changed parent description to 'Space Attack (upright set 1)' and clone '(upright, older)' to '(upright set 2)'.

- 0.37b7: Removed Samples sound.

- 0.37b2: Added clone Space Attack (upright, older). Changed parent description to 'Space Attack (upright)' and clone to '(cocktail)'.

- 2nd May 2000: Zsolt Vasvari added the B&W version of Space Attack to the vicdual driver.
