trivquiz: MAME ROM Information.


History:

Triv Quiz (c) 1984 Status Games.


Each player begins with 10,000 points. First the player sees the question. He then decides how many points he wants to play on that question. After he has wagered his points three answers will appear. The player now tries to select the correct answer. Each player receives a minimum of four questions. Bonus questions are earned based on high scores. Scores can reach into the millions. The player who achieves the highest score can enter their initials.


Triv-Quiz lets the player choose from four challenging trivia categories : 'Sports', 'Entertainment', 'World Facts' and the 'Expert Challenge'. Thousands of questions are stored.

Triv-Quiz offers the operator a special advertising feature. The operator may program his own advertising messages (via 'service mode') without the need of an additional and costly keyboard.

- 28th July 2009: Mr. Do - Kiltron got busy this summer and recently cranked out Trivia Quiz artwork, also on loan from Gene.

- 0.131: Changed 8085A CPU1 clock speed to 12440000 Hz, AY-3-8910A to 1555000 Hz and visible area to 320x240 and VSync to 59.992284 Hz. Added NVRAM rom trivquiz.nv (256 bytes).

- 0.129: MooglyGuy added savestate support to Triv Quiz. Changed 8085A CPU1 clock speed to 13684000 Hz.

- 0.122u7: Changed 8085A CPU1 clock speed to 24800000 Hz.

- 0.85u1: Stefan Jokisch fixed the colors in Triv Quiz. Changed palettesize from 16 to 8 colors.

- 0.79: Changed visible area to 272x256. Added dipswitches 'Show Correct Answer' and 'Demo Sounds'.

- 0.66: MooglyGuy added Triv Quiz (Status Games 1984).

- 15th February 2003: MooglyGuy added Triv Quiz to the Status Drivia 2 driver.
