On a beautiful afternoon, you lie down against a tree and doze, when suddenly a blue door of sorts appears not far from you, from which fall an Ankh cross, a cloth map and two books, one describing the world of Britannia, the other talking about magic. As you stand up, you notice a camp of nomads, which you surprisingly hadn't seen before, and you are led to the fortune teller's wagon, who asks you a series of questions, whereupon you pass out. And when you wake up, the world of Britannia is before you. Can you prove your worth and be worthy of being the Avatar of the Virtues? Ultima IV is a top-down game, with the exception of the dungeons, which are in a first person view. The combat phases are turn-based. Britannia is a vast world that you can explore as you please. |
