Alien (Argus Press Software) - Commodore 64
| Alien translates the atmosphere of the famous film into a strategy game. After the chestburster scene, survival begins: an alien creature stalks the spaceship, and the remaining crew must find a way to defeat or expel it. The treacherous android makes things harder by protecting the alien. Across three decks with 35 rooms, you plan routes, gather weapons, and rescue the cat Jones by securing it in a box. You can herd the alien into an airlock and blast it into space, or trigger the ship's self-destruct and escape in the shuttle. Crew orders depend on each member's personality and stress level, while sensors and trackers help detect alien movement. The tension is heightened by atmospheric sounds – doors, ducts, and the ominous blip when the alien is near. |
