| Asteroide is a horizontally scrolling, side-view shooter where you control a superhero as the screen constantly scrolls from left to right as you attempt to save the Earth from attacks by super-beings in various levels. You crashed a space shuttle on Earth after a trip from your home planet, but instead of feeling sorry for yourself, you enjoy living here and have vowed to protect your adopted planet from any threat with laser shots from your eyes. One such threat has emerged in the form of super beings intent on destroying you and the Earth by exploiting your weakness, Krypton. You have to move around the screen and shoot the creatures that are throwing krypton at you, while also dodging missiles and shooting more krypton upwards from a ground control pod. If you hit a creature, Krypton, a rocket, or the pod, you lose one of three lives. Occasionally the edge turns blue and that means your girlfriend is falling off a skyscraper. You have to save her before she hits the ground. |
