Babylon, also known as Misfortune 2, is an unfinished preview that surfaced as PD/shareware on old disks. The game takes strong inspiration from Mario, blended with elements of Mayhem and Castlevania. You smash blocks with your head, stomp on enemies, and use treasure chests to gain fire torches or switch between different weapons. Although limited to a single level, the demo impressed with smooth scrolling, parallax effects, and striking visuals, but had no sound. Development ended when publishers showed little interest, and later revival attempts failed after the work disks were lost – leaving only this promising preview behind.
