Autotest is a bird's eye view driving game where the screen scrolls in all directions as the car is moved. The aim is to complete various courses as quickly as possible within the qualifying time to earn money and points for the national ranking. Before starting, you choose one of four cars that have different controls. The course is marked by cones and leads to fields where you have to drive forwards or backwards, with bad driving resulting in penalty points. You can use the handbrake to quickly change direction forwards and backwards. After the finish line, time and penalty points are added up; if the qualifying time is exceeded, the game is over. Whoever makes the time and comes in the top two of four drivers receives points and money and can upgrade car parts on the next course. Up to four players can take turns playing.
