| Conqueror begins after the death of a powerful ruler who had built a vast empire through clever land deals and military conquests. His fortune was tied to a legendary golden helmet said to hold magical power – but both the helmet's origin and the ruler's will were lost. Each son received a copy and now claims the throne. Amidst a raging civil war, the player starts with a single city and limited resources.
