| You wake up with a start and subconsciously reach for a pencil and a blank sheet of paper from your desk. Instead, you only feel the icicle-covered sleeve of Uncle's coat. When you open your eyes, the mystery is solved: you are no longer in Uncle's study at the University of Königsberg, where you usually help him. Instead, you find yourself on a narrow path that winds through increasingly dense forests and snow - on another of your uncle's "field trips". This time he is researching vampire bats and their connection to a strange human race for a book. This is of little interest to you, as you are neither adventurous nor do you have a particularly strong stomach. But the eerie wolf calls from the trees around you and the tense atmosphere put you in an oppressive mood. |
