Defensive was an ambitious yet ultimately unreleased horizontal shooter for the C64, heavily inspired by Defender – featuring parallax scrolling, a sleek ship, and end-level bosses. Originally started in the 1980s by Ian Denny and Martin Godbeer, it was later revived by EBES during the C64's decline. A full version with RAMLink support, cutscenes, and music by Jeroen Tel was planned. But lacking both hardware adoption and public interest, the game quietly disappeared, despite showing great potential.
