Depth Charge is a single-screen game in which you must protect five battleships sailing at the top of the screen from an attack by enemy submarines beneath the waves. Each battleship appears individually on the screen and you move it either left or right, while the varying number of submarines at different depths move left or right across the screen. The submarines drop various mines that fly to the surface, but you are armed with five depth charges that move around the screen trying to hit the submarines or mines. If you hit a submarine, a mine, or the depth charge at the bottom of the screen, you will be re-armed with another submarine. If you are hit by a mine, the ship will be lost and the next ship will appear. Before starting the game, you can choose your skill level (1-4), with one being the easiest.
