Destroyer Escort is a naval simulation game with arcade elements in which you are the commander of a destroyer in the North Atlantic during World War II and your task is to escort six ships from one port to another. You first have a choice of six routes between Britain, America, Gibraltar and Murmansk in the Soviet Union, then choose how difficult the enemy should be: below average, average or above average.
Once you have made your selection, you will be shown the bridge from a first person perspective with the options to help you complete your mission such as:
* Map
* Navigation
* Stats and damage
* Weapons
Once you reach your goal, you will receive a report on your performance. To successfully complete a mission, you must get every ship in your convoy to safety and avoid being destroyed yourself. |
