Domain is an unusual game where the player moves through various rooms, collects items, and uses them in different locations while being attacked by rats and dogs. The game contains minimal text, leaving much of the storyline open to interpretation. However, the title screen suggests that the game is loosely based on James Herbert's horror novel Domain, even though many human characters and scenes are absent. The story is set in 1986, after London has been struck by five nuclear bombs, and the player takes on the role of a survivor, possibly Steve Culver from the book. Notably, the game features unique and professionally crafted music.
