In this game, you control a team of four prisoners of war – a Brit, a Frenchman, an American, and a Pole – who are working together to escape from a notorious Nazi POW camp. Each of the four characters starts in their own quarters on different floors of the camp, and you can switch between them at any time. The gameplay is reminiscent of isometric games from the Spectrum era, such as The Great Escape or Head Over Heels. A key part of the challenge is collecting and using items, such as lockpicks for simple doors, keys for more secure ones, German uniforms to move around unnoticed, and shovels for digging. You must also avoid restricted areas – if you enter them, you'll be thrown into solitary confinement and lose your equipment. If you flee from guards in these areas, they'll shoot at you.
