In 395 B.C. As the Roman Empire began to lose its control to barbarians and armies across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, you have the chance to save the empire by repelling attacks or your enemies in your various provinces for 12 turns attack. Each round corresponds to five years and is divided into three phases:

* Income and expense phase:
Here you look at each province and receive money from each province, with the number of enemy tribes and armies in the area influencing the amount. You have the choice to convert your mobile legions into other troops or move money to other provinces.

* Movement:
Here you move your armies through the provinces, and when you're done, the computer moves the enemies' tribes and armies.

* Battle:
Here you can attack your enemies to keep them in order or reduce their numbers.
