| Fort Defiance is an unfinished palisade blocking the path of an invading army that vastly outnumbers you during the War of 1812. You command a single Napoleonic-era artillery piece and its crew, defending the weakest point in the fortification. Your performance will determine whether the fort stands or falls. The game uses a handicap system (from 1 to 63). The lower the handicap you choose at the beginning, the quicker the enemy will retreat. The handicap system ensures that each repelled attack is followed by a more determined attempt. As the commander of the artillery piece, it is your responsibility to select the type of ammunition, the fuse lengths, the elevation, and the target. |
