The objective of the game is to find hidden balls within the grid. To locate the balls, the player shoots rays into the grid. A ray can respond in three ways: it hits a ball and is marked with a red dot at the point of impact, it exits the grid at a different position, or it exits at the same position it entered. If a ball is hidden where a white dot appears, a ray shot from point #4, #12, or #29 would hit the ball. Rays cannot pass by balls that are directly adjacent to their path. If a ball is next to a ray's path, the ray is deflected 90 degrees from the closer side of the ball. For example, a ray shot from point #5 would be redirected to position #11. This redirection is marked with corresponding letters. Deflections can also lead to hits. All possible deflections are displayed.
