| Hollywood or Bust puts you in the role of Buster Baloney, an actor in the early days of cinema tasked with finding five lost Oscars in a studio while being filmed. The studio is shown in a side-scrolling view that moves with the character. You explore multiple floors connected by ladders and enter doors leading to film sets. Security guards can be taken out with cream pies, while ghosts, which only attack from behind, can be avoided by leaning against walls. Touching a guard or ghost ends the game. Some doors lead to the street, where you're chased by a large group of cops in a constantly side-scrolling scene. You can delay the cops by throwing cream pies. A meter shows your remaining energy, which decreases when hit; if it runs out, the game ends. Cream pies can be replenished by turning a valve and collecting the flowing contents. |
