The game is viewed from a 3rd person perspective as you fly into the screen and the enemy sends planes and flak to stop you. You have to fly as low as possible above the ground and destroy a certain number of installations. You can also fly to the top of the screen to destroy planes flying across the screen. If you touch a plane, installation or anti-aircraft gun, you will lose one in five lives.

Once the set number of installations have been destroyed, you can attempt to destroy the main target by flying as low to the ground as possible again. You fly towards the target and fire your bullets until it flies past you. You have four attempts to destroy it, and if you fail you must destroy the installations again before attempting to destroy the main target.
