| Matrix (Gridrunner 2) continues the story of Gridrunner and throws you once more into battle against an alien invasion. You take the role of a retired starship captain who returns to service because the aliens are back, stronger than ever. On the battlefield, chains of pods attack you – bizarrely shaped like flying camels. When shot, they split into smaller chains, making the fight even more intense. At the same time, cannons fire at you from the bottom and left of the screen, while a human traitor may appear and make enemy fire frighteningly accurate – though he too can be taken out. Deflectors twist your bullets or ricochet them back at you, as you advance through increasingly difficult levels where enemy attack patterns keep changing. |
