“Micro-MUD” is a single-player version of “Multi User Dungeon,” where the computer simulates human players. The goal is to reach 102,400 points and become a wizard – achieved by defeating other players, completing minor tasks, or collecting treasure. To secure treasures permanently, they must be placed in the swamp – otherwise, they are lost. The game world includes over 400 locations and a database of 100 characters, with only 10 active at a time. However, 112 hostile enemies make the journey more dangerous. With just 250 treasures available, they are quickly collected, causing the game to reset. Played in the style of a classic text adventure – with no graphics – commands control the character, who interacts with other simulated players in real time.
