"Mini-Zork 1: The Great Underground Empire" is a condensed version of "Zork I," which itself was a smaller adaptation of the original "Zork (Dungeon)." The game takes players into the Great Underground Empire, where they assume the role of an adventurer seeking treasures and riches. To succeed, players must solve puzzles, battle monsters, and explore dark caves and dungeons while ensuring they have a reliable light source. The game has no graphical interface, relying entirely on text input for commands entered via the keyboard.
